What are your feelings about the WB Show Charmed?

Charmed is of course fantasy, but it gives a positive view of witchcraft, and there are lessons others can take from it. Such as "Be Careful." "Keep your personal religion/lifestyle to yourself as a secret." & many other good advice and ideas for witches and pagans.

A side note: Someone commented on Superman. Although he is a totally fictional character, with Smalleville on, I have learned some interesting lessons. Such as "Power Corrupts", "Handle Power With Responsibility", and other such ideas. I've noticed even Buffy & Angel can give you the same type of lessons, if you are looking for them. I've started being more observant of the reasons behind things, and it makes sense. Yet "Charmed" is one of my top 3 shows that I must watch. It's great to watch and enjoy, but not actually realistic as a Wiccan/Pagan lifestyle. Blessed Be.

First off, I love the show. I try not to miss an episode even though I do sometimes. I've noticed by reading the other opinions that most people call them "Wiccans" . I would just like to point out that just because you are a Witch, does not mean you are a Wiccan. Most Wiccans are Witches, but not all Witches are Wiccans. This is a common misconception that a lot of people make. I wouldn't even really consider the characters pagan because they don't worship the god and goddess, they just perform magick and save innocent people. This would constitute them as people who practice magick (Witches)and nothing more. You don't have to be Pagan to be a Witch, just open minded.

Well, that is enough of my ranting.

If Charmed and Buffy were musical acts, Charmed would be considered bubble gum and Buffy would be alternative or hard rock..Depending on your taste in music will decide which program you prefer or find more believable.

I just love the TV show Charmed! I think it has humour and at the same time it often deals with the basics of witchcraft!

Here in Norway the show goes 4 times a week and I'm taping every episode! I fail to see the harm in this show - I feel it is a welcome relaxation from much of the seriousness of the Craft and its inspiring too.

I think its great! It's my favorite tv show ever!! They don't get things correct sometimes but its fiction and it doesn't really matter. The show inspired me to get into wicca. Its gr8! The actresses are great as well and it shows people who think witches are evil people that we are not and we are just normal people as well.

I've watched the show from the start it is well written. Sometimes it has to much fire and brimstone, but it is enjoyable. Could use more Pagan shows. also would like to see more woman's history shows. That would be educational and interesting.

It is not the show "Charmed" that is of significance, but Warner Brothers "Pagan Agenda". The WB is currently the only media venue that has grasped the true volume of the "Pagan Community". And as time progresses we will see Warner Brothers assuming a lead position in society in the coming of the "New Age"...

I am not a Wiccan myself, but the show Charmed has opened my eyes up to the religion much more. As all of you say, it isn't accurate, but it is entertaining. Yeah, sometimes it is a little far fetched, but then again aren't all show (namely Buffy, Angel). I find it a bit disappointing sometimes how each episode is almost always the same-life is fairly normal, then a demon comes along, then they all battle to vanquish it, see the Book of Shadows, and then save the day. However the last episode of the third series was really good and I was on the edge of my seat. I think the show is quite original, and I do enjoy watching it. I strongly disagree with people who say that you have to be Wiccan to understand the show-me, my mum and little brother watch it. When it first came onto TV i was bored with it but then I got really interested in it. I love the house they live in-its really nice.

hi! i am a teen witch my self and "charmed" is my favorite show on TV, i am happy that they have more shows that have witch's in them. i watch shows like "buffy the vampire slayer, sabrina the teen age witch, witchblade, ect. and all of them put witch's in a good light, I have not seen a show for three years on my TV that make witches out to be bad evil things with green face's that eat kids. and just think if they did put a more accurate show on TV about witches people would still think it was make believe anyway, causes witches have just been put into fairy tails. i dont care if it is inaccurate at least it is making a good light of witches. all of my friends are witch's too and it's great i love seen people's face's when i tell them that i am a witch/wiccan/pagan but they just know what a witch is and i tell them the truth about wiccas, I would care less what they think of me as long as i know what i am.

blessed be

A cute show but after a few years, the story lines are getting a bit old. I have stopped watching it because they all seem to be a tad bit alike. While the show shows witches in a positive light, I have to say the clothing and dialogue are very much a 90210 show. That in itself will drag it down.

I read a book on Wicca during its air time.
