Did you take
i would recommend that beginners do whatever feels natural for them. as for me, i didn't follow the year & a day principle...when i look back i suppose i 'studied' for roughly 3~3 1/2 years before self~initiating.

Personally, I've been learning/studying on/off for about 4 years, and was initiated only after about 2 years as a member of the Georgian Tradition. It takes a while for people to be comfortable and have trust in others, especially when I'm in Sth Australia and my teachers are in Bakersfield California

I think that it is OF MOST IMPORTANCE for all beginners to spend AT LEAST a year and a day studying, and gathering information from books, other wiccans, non-wiccans, or anywhere. The responsibility that needs to be acknowledged is very important and I think that people need to really know and understand what they are doing. By the way, I studied for a little over 2 years before practicing, and when I did, it was with an older witch, for guidance.

I did, and I think everyone should because I did spells before my year and a day and I totally messed everything up. Chaos erupted for the next few days, so... Blessed Be and Good Luck In You r Journeys, Jade
