would you want your child to do witchcraft? and how would you feel if they did not want to?
Firstly, I don't want kids, so I'm going to have to be hypothetical here. Of course I'd be happy if my (theoretical!) child followed the path of Witchcraft, but then as long as they were positive & happy I wouldn't mind if they didn't. I believe in the Buddhist theory that children are neutral until they are old enough to choose for themselves.

I hope to have kids some day and i would be happy if they "wanted" to follow this path, but i would not inform them of it until they were old enough to understand. Because too many children have religion forced on them, and the world as a whole is not open minded. Where i am from my religion is not accepted, and for any child raised as my religion to have to go through not understanding why all the other kids see the world diffrently and have the other kids parents not invite them over to spend the night because of what they beleive i couldnt go through knowing i had caused that, so i again say it is up to them when they are old enough to understand.

I won't be having children either, but hypothetically, I would be pleased for them whether or not they chose the craft as their religion. After long years of sensing "something missing" in my life I read some pagan books and this feeling went so I knew I was home. That, and our lady telling me personally that "we have always loved you" confirmed things. If my hypothetical child had a similar feeling about another religious system, I'd support their choice 100%, at least their right to choose, it's their life.

I have made the choice not to have children, but if I was blessed with them, from early on, I would teach them the basics about the worlds religons. I would want them to be able to make an educated choice when the time came for them to pick a religon.

I have a four year old daughter and because I was raised as a christian and felt so out of place because it was forced on me I would never force my beliefs on her. Though seeing my family history I believe she will be drawn to the path at her own time. I was nine and I'm not sure the age of my mother, her sister, their mother, and their grandmother. I would love to instruct her in the beauty of being one with nature and the lord and lady.

I wouldn't force them to be any religion. If they were interested in wicca, I would teach them. I mean, its their life! I wouldn't be able to stop them anyway!
